The big Swiss Wrestling and Alpine Festival (ESAF) in Zug is history. But before the wrestling, the throwing of the Unspunnenstein and the festivities could begin, a lot had to be organized. To give people a better understanding of the sport of wrestling and the organization of this major event, the Infrastructure department organized guided tours of the construction site in the run-up to the event. ESAF Zug used Calenso to book these tours. Brigitte Huwyler, Head of Site Tours at ESAF 2019 Zug, answered a few questions from us:
1. how did you become aware of Calenso?
When we were looking for an intelligent solution for scheduling the construction site tour at ESAF 2019, we came across the Central Swiss company Calenso through internet research.
2. how did the ESAF use Calenso?
Calenso was used to book the construction site tours. Individuals and small groups were able to register via Calenso to visit the construction site. The tool was also very suitable for allocating the 40 or so guides to the individual slots. We conducted 15 guided tours per day over the course of around three weeks. Calenso was a great help for the organization.
3. why did you choose Calenso?
Because it was what we were looking for. It is easy to use and is good value for money. Despite initial teething troubles, we stayed in touch because the product seemed good to me and it comes from Switzerland.
4. what was your favorite function?
Calenso is very easy to operate and extremely clear to use.
