Can you still hear it? Corona is on everyone's lips and is probably the most talked-about topic at the moment. Apart from the medical side, the risk of infection and the recommendations for action from the FOPH (Federal Office of Public Health, CH), the virus is causing enormous damage to the economy. Events and functions are being canceled, catering services are losing their orders and short-time work is being announced. In short, the effects are serious. In Switzerland, the SMI lost 5.5% on the new "Black Monday" (09.03.2020), while the leading US index Dow Jones Industrial even lost 7%.1 In other words: a lot of money is currently being lost.
Calenso shows you how to organize yourself during the difficult coronavirus times. This means you won't lose contact with your customers and can still continue your work.
Cancellation of events
In Switzerland, events with more than 1000 people are prohibited. In addition, events with fewer than 1000 people are monitored by the cantonal authorities and in some cases also prohibited (as of 12.03.2020).2 Currently (17.03.2020) all public and private events as well as sports and club activities are prohibited.3
Companies have to cancel numerous planned events as a health protection measure. As a result, many events are being postponed or canceled during the coronavirus pandemic. However, in addition to the financial losses, there are also high costs for canceling the registered participants.
With Calenso's online appointment scheduling, you can offer events for your company. If an event is not held as planned or has to be canceled, you can cancel the event with just one click. This saves you the effort of calling each individual participant and canceling the event.
Arrange appointments outside of events
One solution to missed meetings at events is to make appointments in smaller groups. Make it possible for your customers to contact you alongside your events so that interested parties can still get in touch with you. You can easily offer appointments via Calenso, e.g. for a consultation or to get to know each other over a coffee. In this way, you can intercept any orders that fail to materialize and reduce the risk of infection with the coronavirus through events. We would like to point out that the FOPH would like to keep any contact with other people to a minimum and that non-essential personal meetings should be avoided.4 However, you can also arrange your appointments for the time after the virus and the restrictions. This way, you are perfectly prepared for normal operations. Calenso particularly recommends the next tip - welcome to the virtual world, which isn't as bad as it's always said to be!
Home office and online meetings
Many people are working from home during the coronavirus period. This is a recommendation of the FOPH. In some areas, this is possible without any problems, whereas in other sectors it is impossible. Various tools allow you to communicate online with your team colleagues or customers. Register branches online in Calenso or offer consultations via Skype as a new service. This means you can easily work from home and continue to look after your customers.
