In our new release in May 2019, we were able to equip the event feature with new functions! Below you can discover the latest functions, such as waiting lists and recurring time slots, and learn how to use them correctly.
Events with waiting lists
It is now possible to add a waiting list to your events. When entering an event, you can still enter the number of people for whom a time slot can be booked. You can now also activate the waiting list function.
Customers can therefore register for an event even though the maximum number of participants has been reached. Of course, your customers will be informed during the booking process that the event is fully booked, but that there are still places available on the waiting list. As soon as the customer decides on such a time slot and books, he or she will receive an e-mail stating that he or she has been successfully added to the waiting list. If a customer cancels this time slot, the first participant on the list moves up and is notified that participation is definite.
This means you miss out on fewer customers who only have time during a fully booked time slot and your event is optimally utilized.
You can also add customers manually. When adding, you can now take the waiting list into account or not. If the setting is "Yes", your customer is automatically booked into the free spaces or placed on the waiting list if no free spaces are available. If the setting is "No", you can manually force an overbooking. In other words, you can book a customer into the free spaces even though the limit has already been reached.
Overview of all events and time slots
It is now possible to display your events and time slots at a glance. Under "Events" > "Group events" you can see the utilization of your events and their time slots. The new waiting list function is also displayed. At the same time, the available places on the respective list and the registered participants are displayed.
Recurring time slots for courses
This strange name hides a very simple and practical function. If you organize events or courses that are repeated, you can create them all at once in one step. For example: Every Thursday morning you run two 2-hour courses in your beauty studio for 4 participants on the subject of skin and nail care. To avoid having to create individual events for every Thursday throughout the year, you can use the recurring time slot. You can find out exactly how this works here (step 4)!
Redesign event list for the customer
Your customers will see your events in a new design. They are now more clearly arranged, side by side and your customer can easily get an overview of your offer.
Congratulations! You now know all the new functions for the events! Use them right away in your Calenso account!
