The telephones of the authorities in the canton of Basel-Landschaft are running at full speed, with the staff of the debt enforcement and bankruptcy office alone taking 45,000 appointments and 5,000 postponements per year by telephone. The amount of resources, time and nerves involved is huge, binding seizure appointments are not kept and often not even canceled. The aim is to reduce the workload for everyone involved and simplify the appointment process.
Make an appointment at the touch of a button
The project with the canton of Basel-Landschaft focused on consultation appointments. The project involved the introduction of Calenso in three offices.
The debt enforcement and bankruptcy office sets binding seizure dates. If the persons concerned are unable to attend an appointment, they often stay away without giving notice. The implementation of the solution enables the persons concerned to reschedule the appointment themselves via the Internet. This has massively reduced the administrative workload.
The Cantonal Office for Industry, Trade and Labor (KIGA), together with the Office for Migration and Citizenship (AFMB), successfully implemented the federal government's PA 19 "Production of foreigner ID cards from 2019" project.
This included issuing foreigner ID cards in credit card format. Thanks to Calenso, affected persons can now make an appointment for electronic photo and signature capture via the Internet. With the successful conclusion of the collaboration, a standardized service is now available to all offices in the canton and can therefore be introduced quickly and easily in other offices.
